I am a journalist specializing in aviation and aviation history. I am also a private pilot, a playwright who gets occasional productions and I write novels that haven't been published.

Model airplanes and everything that has anything to do with modeling. You name it, I've got at least one of them.

Lots of books, as well as models and associated stuff, none of which I need, other than more books.

I have a few classic models that are not worth building because they are generations removed from out better models today. However, I believe models should be built, not put on a shelf with the cellophane still on the box unless, well, see above. I know people who collect and don't build. This just escapes me. I like to take those old kits and if they have a decent shape, I make them into nice replicas of the real thing.

Modeling, flying (albeit rarely these days since flying where I live is no fun), model rocketry (ditto, since there's no wide open spaces. I'm a transplanted Texan. I like to study the history of art and architecture as well, but I am a delitante at this (and a bad speller apparently).

I'm a doc junkie and animation fiend. I watch Adult Swim (especially The Venture Brothers and Aqua Teen Hunger Force, and I miss Harvey Birdman). Oh, and I watch Mythbusters over and over. And lots of the better Britcoms, like Blackadder and the original The Office. Not the dumbed-down ones like Are You Being Served.

I am a journalist by trade, but I have run a couple of bookstores. New at eBay.
