eBay My World: miss_grits( 3014)

Ebay is a hobby for me and a means of extra income. I am a retired baby boomer. I taught English for 20 years before becoming a guidance counselor. Currently,I have a booth in an antique shop and work there part time.

I sell things that I love, mostly china and books. I also sell linens, silverplate, sterling, and hard to find items to name a few.

I do most of my buying at local auctions. I live only 23 miles from downtown Charleston, SC so a great many of the auction items come from the old Charleston estates that are a gold mine for things old and quaint (thus my store name, queenofquaint!) I love beautiful things such as tole ware, silver, china, linen, jewelry, and anything lovely or interesting that catches my eye.

I collect pink lusterware, majolica, tole ware, and interesting made-in-Japan items. That's what I'm collecting this week: it changes frequently.

Ebay is my main hobby but I also love reading, attending auctions, and scouring the land for interesting finds.

I love all of Anne Tyler's books and I also read a lot of non-fiction (memoirs, etc.)

I pride myself on going the extra mile to make my customers happy that they bought from me. I pack extra carefully so you can be assured your fragile items will arrive safely. If there is a problem, I do everything in my power to correct it, including offering refunds. I try to ship quickly but occasionally life interferes and I get behind a day or two on the shipping. I go to the post office almost every day but Sunday.

I started selling on eBay in May of 2002 and have been going strong ever since.

I accept Paypal, money orders, and personal checks.

I ship the cheapest and best way, depending on the item and its weight. Heavy china (or heavy anything) usually goes UPS ground because its cheaper and insurance is included. Most other items go Priority, Parcel Post, or Media.

I accept returns for a refund within 7 days of customer receiving the item.
