Business InformationHistory/background
Started selling Galileo thermometers on Ebay and when prices dropped due to a flood of chinese mports, I stopped selling them. I like selling tools and have held my own, even with a influx of competitors. My excellent product cost structure and my belief in volume vs high mark ups have worked well. But selling on ebay is expensive and one has to be carefull on what you list and where. I have been anaylizing my business and try to keep it managable, I do make mistakes, but have avoided feed back problems by resolving issues and making the buyer happy.
Payment policy
I accept paypal, personal checks and money orders.
Shipping information
Most of my shipments are by priority mail, either normal or flat rate. Large orders with high values, I will ship by UPS because of the inssurance and better tracking. I do not ship outside the USA anymore. I have had to many losses due to a number of reason, to make it unprofitable and too time consuming.
Return policy
I accept returns due to shipping errors on my part and of course defective product.

Overcharging on freight.
I will admitt with the cost of selling on ebay, that I might add .25 to .50 to my shipping cost. And since I use a fixed shipping cost on my listings based on weight of the item, I sometimes make a little or loose a little depending where the items end up going. In 2006 I collected $13,400 in shipping fees and paid out $13,240. I do combine shipping and if it can go in a flat rate box, then I hardly ever charge more then $8.10. What I don't do is charge 2 to 3 times actual shipping cost as some of my competitors do. I feel they think that ebay buyers are stupid and cannot add freight and selling price to come up with total cost. Well at least 90% of them can add. We know why they do overcharge: Ebay does not charge fees on freight, so the more they can get away with in putting some of there price in freight, the less it cost them to list or pay the final closing fee on the sale.
Lost Shipment Policy and Feedback
I normally give a complete refund to a buyer if, the product never arrives. I do not reship, since its been my experience that if a product does not arrive, theres a good chance it was stolen somewhere at the end of its transit. So expect a refund, but no reshipment.----FEEDBACK. I do give feeback, but it may 1-3 weeks before I get around to it.
