MY COMPANION CATS
I have 4 cats; two belong to my son and daughter, so I take care of them (Tigger and Good Fortune, Tigger's mom). Both of them have wonderful, sweet, and very individual personalities. The two that I belong to are Kaya, a 3-yr old American Bobtail purebred with dog-like friendliness, and intense curiosity about everything and everyone (PIC IS OF KAYA)! And Jade, my shelter rescue Black Fat Cat, who weighed 19.5 lbs when I adopted her, and is now down to 17 lbs., has the most beautiful green eyes that I fell in love with her at first sight! Hence the name: Jade is 7 yrs old, and my personal 'therapy' cat. I am also her property if any other cat besides Kaya comes too close to me with her nearby! Jade is Kaya's adopted mom, even though Jade herself never had kittens. Kaya used her as a pacifier, much to her startled chagrin, for the first year after Kaya arrived at age 8 weeks. Go figure! They have mutual grooming sessions that are adorable to watch. I am blessed 4 times!
Business InformationHistory/background
2nd-generation business established by my father Frank on-line Jan. 1998, was store-front business for decades before that. Grew up with this business, loved selling and talking to people, so was a natural fit. When I was disabled, and couldn't continue teaching or the military, asked my Dad if I could buy the business when he retired (he was 78 then) -- six months later he retired! He made sure I paid for it, too - no freebies! He was just waiting for someone to step up ... the good Lord made sure of that! He served in the Marine Corps during WWII, and I served 20 in the Navy and Navy Reserves. My husband, John, who is my partner in in this business, and served 31 years in the Navy. Our two sons were in the Navy and Marine Corps, and both served overseas during the Iraqi War. Our daughter is in college, is a fire dept. volunteer EMT, and is pursuing a degree as a paramedic. All three have worked part-time at Canes Galore ...

BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY
Mobility aids are serious medical support first and last, but they also should look and feel good to the user. Our goal is to meet those needs in an economical, practical good-looking variety of choices for people with needs and/or wants in these areas. We will keep improving our inventory based on our customers' input. We will also offer collectible and novelty walking canes just for the fun of it, but will make it clear they are not for medical support. We will listen! Thank you for reading this, and keep-on walking!
