The Unquiet Grave by Steve B.Hendricks
1 of 1 found this helpful I didn't buy the book Unquiet Grave by Steve B. Hendricks. I got it from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Library.It was the most complete presentation I have read about the life and times of the American Indian Movement I knew.I believe that the author did the best effort he could with available information thus far gathering the factual information in the book and endnotes.
Eventhough it has as many blanks as blacked out government documents it still brought closure of much I had heard through the moccasin telegraph. It fulfilled my need to know about different situations I had experienced in AIM, heard, or had read in bits and peices elsewhere.
Steve Hendrickson was the first Author to spell out in detail much of the information that is currently available about the deaths of Anna Mae Aquash,Ray Robinson,the Two FBI agents and people on Pine Ridge killed in the aftermath of Wounded Knee in 1973.
I never joined many organizations in life but I did join the Great Lakes Indian Youth Alliance and the American Indian Movement in their early days.I still cannot not believe the impact that simple action had on my total life.For some strange reasons unknown to me I always felt the American Indians suffered the same fate as the Jewish people and I committed early to do what ever I could do to help them overcome the daily injustices of the dominant society.
I first remember experiencing the double standards and unfairmess of racism in grade school as we the poor whites and Indian kids were lined up in the hallways whenever head lice were discovered.The Teachers only seemed to think certain kids had the head lice.Their kids were never in the head check lines. We all eventually got lice or bedbugs in the small winter closed schools of Northern Michigan.
I visited and lived in American Indian homes and It appeared that closed racial doors and injustice created for them day in and day out poverty and dysfunction.
When the Great Lakes Indian Youth Alliance and the American Indian movement came into my life I began to see a small glimmer of hope. I saw Indian individuals and communities begin to have the same hope as the movement gained momentum. I saw people begin to increase their interest in their spirituality,higher education,their history,and most of all their own self actualization and determination.
The American Indian Movement was the one organization that gave a voice to many other similar efforts that were rising at the same time. It was a unusual time in history for the whole Civil Rights movement the Indian people, the First Americans, were again the last to finally get some national recognition someplace other than the fake Hollywood movies.
DR Richard Thomas African Am Historian at MSU asked me, "who is documenting the movement?" I said, "no one is really documenting the movement because the Indian people believe in their oral traditions." He said, "that movement is so important that someone must document it."I don't believe it ever was except for bits and peices found here and there after the fact.Photographs are severly limited except those still in the COINTELPRO,Federal Marshall's and FBI files.
There was one good book of photos published by Akawsasne Notes before that newspaper was burnt to the ground.It is rare "The Voices of Wounded Knee As Told By The Participants" both of these eBay found books should be in every Library or hands of serious American Indian Studies or Legal students. What a necessary resource.

This is another best selling book written by Dr ZHI GANG SHA that fully explains what the soul is how important it is and how you can enhance and keep in touch with your soul.
The Western Scientific community is just starting to recognize what the ancient people have known for centuries. I have been fortunate to experience healing done by many gifted healers in the American and Canadian Indian Community. Both this Traditional Chinese and Traditional medicine and tne American Indian medicine has some similar techniques and concepts that western medical professionals would benefit greatly by having a medical school that would teach these concepts. The real answer to the existing and looming medical crisis lies in a totally revolutionary approach to wester medicine. Medical professionals could learn much by doing hands on training with the master healers of both people. Until they do we must take care of each other
all of Dr Shas books are written to serve humanity. I will write more on this new approach in in future ebay guides and reviews. Until then it would be in the best interest of medical professionals to immerse themselves in these teachings while Dr Sha is still available to consult. The tip of the iceberg is just now showing as to what will be possible by a sincere effort to integrate these two healing modalities. The scientific box is very limiting and the long debates as to the existence of a Soul is unless and serves no one and limits the perspective of all. All you need to do is to read this series of books by Dr sha and your eyes will open to the unlimited possibilities of these new perceptions of healing.Soul Wisdom is a easy read and covers the topics of Soul Language,Soul Song,Soul Movement,Soul Tapping,Soul Dance.
Itis one of the most significant books on Souls and their healing I have read in my life.
We must seriously consider these alternatives as we run out of Western medicine options. I hear actually accounts every day of people who are turned away because they cannot pay for services rendered. they have no alternative but the methods illustrated in these teachings of Dr Sha.
Without these options they are simply sent home to die.
Please consider these alternatives and do not give up. let me know if you cannot find this book I will list it on eBay for your buy it now purchase. If you cannot afford this book let me know too and I will see if I can get someone to gift you a copy. We need to take care of each other the government or no one else is going to do it.

SOUL MIND BODY MEDICINE
2 of 2 found this helpful This has been the most important book healing discovery I have made in recent years.It is one of the main books written by Dr Zhi Gang Sha who was trained as a Western Medical doctor in China and practices ancient traditional Chinese medicine in China and North America actually throughout the world now on his web site,Voice of America Radio and by Telephone.
The SOUL MIND BODY MEDICINE BOOK is the one that outlines the healing process that you use to heal yourself or others.
It is clearly written with photo illustrations of each technique and a clear description of each healing modality.
I have had difficult with the language but hopefully will eventually get so I can pronounce the Chinese words necessary. the main thing every reader should know is that the techniques really work. This is a alternative medicine that you can do for your self and others.
I was fortunate to get into the Voice of America Radio program on November 16,07 at 8:00 PM and was selected to work directly with Dr Sha and his advanced students. He gave me a copy of his most recent book on Soul Language
and I will review it here as soon as I read it.
Actually I plan to review each book here ASAP.

Dr sha knows my funds are limited and he was very gracious letting me participate in his programs and has made sure I have his books for my studies.
I also have a hang up when it comes to paying for healing. I will get into that in more detail later.All I know is that if you are ill you should consider this healing modality before running up a bunch of medical bills and expenses. Once you start on that Western model you may exhaust all your resources quickly and the stress of the loss will kill you if the disease you have doesn't first. I have seen this happen to folks again and again.
I hate to tell you but Michael Moore and his film SICKO has pulled the rug of of this gaping wound in our medical care system and most of us will need to turn to these alternative medicines to survive. Dr Sha has worked with masses of Chinese people because they do not have enough Drs to go around. He has been extremely effective in saving lives in China and now else where in the World.
My Brother in Law has just found out he has a pancreatic tumor his wife my sister has recently undergone treatment for tumors in her brain. I ask you all for your prayers or any information that you know will help them to heal. The Medical Drs are struggling with the answers and he has already been operated on to no avail. I am going to help him with this new knowledge from Dr Sha but I am not very skilled yet at healing and i got some Western Medicine hangups of myy own to over come before I can be confident in this new technique and technology as presented by Dr Sha.
