I have been selling antiques and collectibles in one venue or another for the past 20 years. I started selling out of my home way back in 1988 when online commerce was more or less science fantasy. I graduated to mail order, shows, then eBay!

I have collected a variety of things throughout my half century+ such as monster memorabilia, model kits, Kewpie dolls, comics, coins, stamps, sportscards, and non-sport trading cards. I jump from one hobby to another-frequently going back and recycling old hobbies! Life is too short not to!!!

You may have noticed the black and white photo of the little boy playing with his truck I use as my avatar. This was my older brother and my best friend, Hal. Hal was a very special man. To know him was to love him. Hal passed away on August 12, 2007 from colorectal cancer at the age of 55. Few people may realize that this type of cancer is one of the most preventable and curable. It takes approximately 10 years to go from stage 1 to 4. A simple-yeah I know-and unpleasant test most of us don't care to think about, let alone do is involved-but certainly better than the worst case scenario. The worst part is the prep part the day before. The actual test is a snap. So I urge anyone that has turned 50, or someone with a family history to get this test. The life you save could be your own. Please do it, or if you have a friend or loved one this age, please encourage them to do so. They are irreplacable. If even one of you will do this, then my brother's life will not have been in vain...
