Business InformationHistory/background
I've spent 75% of my life reading about, learning about, purchasing and selling vintage Disney memorabilia, ever since the term was officially coined back in the mid-70's by author Cecil Munsey (Disneyana--the first actual book written about collecting Disney merchandise)...My sister bought me that book when I was about 7 or 8 and I was hooked. Thanks, Jo! :)
Have spent a lot of time going to auctions and shows, hosting and participating in local antiques related events, have partnered in a shop selling retro and vintage housewares, clothing and designer decor items...If I don't have it I can probably find it for you!
Payment policy
I prefer Paypal payments, but also money orders and checks via snail mail (checks have to clear before I send merchandise)...Will always try to work with buyers needing special arrangements though, so always ask.
Shipping information
See below about my thoughts on shipping policies from a buyer's perspective. As a seller, I will always charge exact shipping costs as they end up being for me to send merchandise out. I don't normally tack on extra expenses for boxes or packing as I try to always recycle and reuse, but in special cases or elaborate shipping situations calling for the use and purchase of additional packing I usually require this to be covered by a buyer...Will always communicate any necessary additional shipping costs ahead of time whenever possible. Insurance is always recommended but always optional for the buyer to choose. I will always try and be negotiable. I will NEVER charge excessive shipping costs or include hidden fees or 'handling' costs.
Return policy
Unless otherwise specified, I feel that it is the buyer's responsibility at ANY auction, whether online or off, to know what they are bidding on and committing to buy. I expect interested bidders to ask any and all questions they need to pre-bid, and I will always try to answer them asap. There are always exceptions, but as a rule I try to stick to a policy of 'All Sales Final'. Damages occurring during shipping are not my responsibility, and while I will always pack carefully and thoughtfully I do recommend that buyers choose to pay for postal insurance if concerned. Special circumstances and situations will always be considered.
Contact information
Feel free to contact me through E-bay's 'contact seller' tool any time. I will eventually add some discussion modules here once I become more active as a seller. If you just want to chat about similar interests however, you can visit my site and email me through the contact info found there -- warning, it's a tribute site to the very cheesy & sleazy 70's horror flick Night of the Sorcerers. Just go to NightOfTheSorcerers 'dot' com, and you shall soon be there. Just remember to bring your sense of humor and check any P.C. vibes at the door. :)
What I Appreciate as a Buyer
I greatly appreciate the spirit of 'old school E-bay', and I appreciate those who extend an effort to be open and honest about what they are selling, and who ask fair prices for their items at initial listing. I certainly respect all users' rights to conduct their own business as they see fit, but I personally feel duped or cheated when I end up paying exhorbitant shipping costs, especially when there are 'handling fees' of unknown origin added in.
Being open and honest with others is the best policy, and I appreciate those who try to do so with me.
