The book is well worth the money.
This is a very good book that is written well and in plain English. It is easy to understand and has lots of detailed pictures. The book deals with the history of the instrument, its evolution and gives the reader a wealth of knowledge. The book also has a great section with all the great Stratocaster players and they way they set up their guitars, whether stock or custom, including Clapton, Buddy Holly, Stevie Ray, Jeff Beck and of course Hendrix. In addition to the Stratocaster it goes into detail of what countries the guitars where made and different versions like the Telecaster and Squier.

31 great songs for under $25 bucks, master this and you will be on your way
With 31 songs in clear and easy to read Tab, a section on Muddy Waters style of playing and a Muddy bio section this is a great value and guitar book. It also has a notation section that explains the various tab symbols and marks. A small paragraph is at the top of the page telling the history and background of each song.
