Car and Cycle was first established in 1983, back in those days we were a car accessory and parts shop with cycles being a side line, but cycles were a passion of the owner and in 1997 we moved premises and although we kept the Car and Cycle brand name due to our good reputation cycling became the main priority for our business development. We started stocking a larger range of cycles including Saracen, Claud Butler, Dawes and Shogun as well as a number of cycle accessories.
In 1999 car accessories and parts were completely dropped as our commitment and enthusiasm for cycling and the environment had grown, today bicycles and cycling products is all we do.
In 2001 our first web site became live, our online business grew exponentially from this point on due to the lack of any online supply of discount cycling products at that time, and eventually it completely took over our retail operation, Car and Cycle is one of the longest estabished bicycle suppliers online.
Payment policy
Paypal Only. We do not accept any postal payments, no cash, no postal orders, no cheques. We cannot accept any card payments over the telephone, our strict security and privacy policy is written with our customers safety in mind and we do not accept unsafe telephone payments. Please think very carefully before paying anybody over the telephone read our guide for more details.
Shipping information

We lose money on postage and packaging costs, when you receive your item take a look at the postage cost printed on the packet, then consider the other costs involved in packing and sending your goods, you will see we do not make money on postage and packaging. Small items are all sent first class recorded delivery, it costs more but is far more reliable. We send large items by carrier at a cost of £7.95 for mainland UK and £14.95 Islands and Northern Ireland. Our domestic handling time is almost always three working days which excludes weekends, goods should be with you within 7 days if Royal Mail deliver to there timescales. We cannot ever answer questions on when you will receive any purchase or when was an item dispatched, we will only start a trace on an order dispatch if its late due to the huge amount of work involved and its impact on other customers orders.
Return policy
We offer a no time limit return policy on most listings but not all, details are on each listing. We offer included P&P in many items, no P&P is free, free does not exist its built into the prices as recommended by ebay. If you buy goods that you do not want you can return if new unused that we can re sell as a new item but there are costs involved for you, we cannot refund our outward P&P costs and the return is also your responsability to pay, so ask questions make sure its what you want before you buy. Always return goods by a recorded or tracked service we can only refund the item cost if we receive the item back.

Please try to understand fully the implications of your leaving low DSR scores and negative feedback, such things mean an increase in ebay fees which on the low margins we work for these cannot be absorbed low DSR and negative feedback can and will only mean an increase in prices for customers.
