We all have early family photographs and have seen old Historical photos. Amazingly they are still preserved on film and or photographic paper which represent an important part of our Culture and History. It's Great seeing an old photo knowing that image was captured on film sometimes a hundred plus years ago. Photographs have meaning, depth and tradition. Photography is Timeless, an Art-form that is Unique in itself as a Stand Alone Medium. It will never be imitated or duplicated by digital imagery which is a revolutionary technology yes, but hope it will not lead to the extinction of film. Digital is the new format and I use digital cameras along with everyone else. New technology has created a different type of professional and consumer product that is now dominating the field but also designed and engineered for short term use as technology advances. Film cameras are built to last without technology changing the way we use them. So as long as we do, there will be a demand for film!
