History/background
A lifelong Texan, I enjoy drawing on the cultural influences of Mexico, France, Italy, and Greece which are woven into my paintings -- those reflecting an abstract/impressionist style and demonstrating my appreciation for the unique qualities which come to Texas from other cultures. I am interested in synthesizing my natural style with subjects that are special to me and which I have had the opportunity to visit and admire on travels to Mexico, France and Italy. My neo-impressionist oils depict the humor, delight, and often mystery found in animals, landscapes, and structures of Texas, Mexico, France, Italy, and Ancient Greece. I have two undergraduate degrees from the University of Texas at Austin, one in Art History and one in Interior Design.
