Nahant Village Church -founded 1869- is on a peninsula NE of Boston, 2 miles out in the Atlantic. We're a union of Protestant churches- with the UCC- & a diverse faith community sharing informal worship, sacred music, outreach, education & fellowship

We love our Island (we're almost an island) and our Village! We're surrounded by the sea, enjoy fresh breezes throughout the year (including sometimes fierce winter storms), and we're part of an active community of caring people.

The Nahant Village Church is one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in Nahant, and was designed by the architect for Harvard's Memorial Hall. NVC has an active membership with a progressive view of Christian faith, and its outreach includes support for national and worldwide charities, as well as personal work like buying and delivering food for local pantries and serving dinners for the needy in neighboring towns. NVC also opens its doors to a wide variety of community groups - and it's a beautiful site for weddings (including a famous Roosevelt wedding in the 30s). There's something inspiring about being in a New England village: it's a spirit that fosters appreciation for tradition, a practical view of the present, a depth of caring about each other, combined with a good sense of humor, of course - with a love of the sea that's only a few blocks away in any direction.
