Not especially surprising, but thoroughly maudlin
Interesting read unless you have already caught Dominick Dunne's Power, Priveledge, and Justice. This book goes on forever and leaves me wondering if I should feel aghast about the fact I paid money for the book, the author wasted his time writing it, or the "people" who inhabited it.

It was interesting at first, but it went on too long. I liked finding out how the mega-weathly got rich, but how they lived from day to day...not so much. If you took out the tennis, shopping, and charity balls, not much else goes on except drinking, affairs, and general malice. Ridiculous.
