Old Spartan & his Lovely Lady Spartan began as collectors of the past. We spend our time traveling the highways & byways between the Adirondack Mountains of New York & the crashing surf of Maine's Atlantic Ocean in search of .... TREASURES
Things I sell
Spartan Treasures sells memories of generations past. Our goal is to bring yesterdays heritage to the people of today. In our stores will be found Depression Glass, Vintage Dinnerware, Globes, and Occupied Japan Collectables. We have not forgotten the other memories either -- Barware, Punch Bowls, Fenton and Fostoria.
Our travels have also unearthed a trove of Vintage Dolls, Art Deco accessories, and Retro Decoratives for kitchen, dining, and living.
Because todays generation also needs its own unique memories of the future we also have our Spartan Collection of modern collectables and decoratives that will make your surroundings unique and your spirit light.
The Spartan Collection ranges from Gardening Delights made of Cast Iron, Stone, and Resin -- to the Metalware Critters of our Spartan Zoo. These future memories include Moose, Deer, Cows, Pigs, Dogs and Cats. While browsing take a look at our full line of Cast Iron Doorstops and Jim Shore Folk Art Figurines.

The Spartans have been collecting for ... Well ever since they became one ... even before.
We collect Ruby Glass of the depression era for our own joy as well Occupied Japan ranging from Fishing to Figurines.
Our Family Dinners are served on 150 year old Bavarian China -- Cooked with 50's era Pyrex and even older Cast Iron Cookware. Everyday eating is from Corelle Golden Butterfly, Crazy Daisy, Indian Summer Corning Ware depending on the mood.
We believe strongly that our collections should serve the purpose they were made for -- Dinnerware for eating, Figures and other decoratives for visual appeal, and furniture for sitting.
If we buy it we use it --- It is our hope that you do the same, for the true joy of collecting encompasses so much more than dusting a display shelf.
Things I collect
Depression Glass to Gay Fad glassware -- Vintage Cast Iron Cookware to Modern Old Mountain Cast Iron Skillets and Ovens.
Fact is we have at one time or another collected about everything you can think of. Some of our minor collections have been passed to the next generation of Spartans as they developed their own unique interests -- Aunt Jemima Americana to a youngest daughter, Occupied Japan to a elder son. Elder daughter has recieved the lion share of our Tea Pot collection, and youngest son has been given a start on a eclectic grouping of Fifties that caught his attention.
Case you can not tell --- Those four were our greatest collection. One that we never did offer for sdale despite a few temptations to have a clearance.
Oh -- last but hardly least --- The last members of our family collect stuffed toys that talk - squeak -- growl -- or otherwise break the Silence. Must never forget the Austrian Shephards -- Now they really know what a collection is for --- FUN !!!
