SuperMicro X10SAE LGA1150 Intel C226 Xeon v3 / 4th gen Core ATX Motherboard 5C M

Affordable XEON experience.
This board is very good quality for a workstation desktop. I installed a Xeon CPU which is why I chose this board in the first place. It has plenty of SATA ports and can handle 32GB's of RAM. This board is good for games or as a powerhouse workstation. I have ran EVE Online and it out-performs my previous build (AMD FX series). I like that it is very basic in looks and isn't blinged out like modern gaming boards. I built this machine as a LINUX machine. I wanted a XEON with ECC RAM for a quality LINUX workstation so I chose this board because of brand and price. Although it has some great features I have had an issue with the online manual. The online manual states that this board supports ECC RAM modules. I tried the correct ECC RAM and it it would not boot. It gave me the memory beep- code. The board is labeled physically stating to use Unbuffered RAM only. Not sure why the online manual and specs states that it supports ECC. I got this board new here at eBay. So the BIOS needs to be updated. I've ran into a problem loading/ booting things in UEFI mode. I'm still trying to figure it out but I think that the BIOS is severely behind on updates. Waiting to get a UPS so I can go through with the update. This board is better than my ASUS/ AMD board. This is my first SuperMicro board. I'm not blown away by it, but it is overall nicer in comparison. It supports 4th gen i7-i5 CPU's, but also XEON's. I'm running an E3-1220 v3, with 4-core + 4-threads @ 3.10 GHz. Coming from an AMD-FX Vishera clocked at 4.1 GHz this XEON is robust and can handle things better. Web browsing is smooth with the XEON. Overall experience is pleasant. It doesn't blow me away but it is nice and smooth. Overall I give this board 4 stars. It would've been 5 of 5 but the manual stating ECC support when there is none, and the BIOS UEFI complications forced me to drop the 5 stars to 4. I'm looking forward to using this PC/board for the next several years. It is made by a server quality company. It is an affordable XEON supported board that runs smooth and is my new favorite PC. -Thanks

Apple Mac Pro 2.8GHz 8-Core 3,1 1TB/8GB - UPGRADED GeForce 8800GT 512MB VRAM #26

Bang for the buck!
Very affordable Mac. This 2008 Mac Pro still runs everything! Upgrading parts is very affordable as well. Load this up with 16GB (can use 32GB total) for smoother operation. It is also a very handsome machine to show off. The older Mac Pro's were very well engineered with thought and care for longevity and forward thinking. I highly recommend this machine (2008-2012 editions) for productivity. Gaming on these is not recommended due to lack of Direct X suite. I bought mine for music production and music related usage. I paid 325 USD plus shipping. I am very satisfied. Despite the age, this is a very adequate machine for my needs. It has server grade parts and this is why these machines last. I'm running OSX El Capitan and I don't have all the maintenance required by a Windows OS. If you need muscle for productivity type of applications this is right for you. But be aware not all Mac Pro's run the latest OSX. Mac Pro 2006-2007 (1,1 -2,1) will only run up to OS X Lion (10.7). Mac Pro 2008-2009 (3,1 and 4,1) will only run up to El Capitan. If your serious about running the latest Mac OS Sierra you will have to pony up the big bucks for a 2010-2012 model. I'm happy with my 2008 as my music applications still support El Capitan 10.11.

Focusrite Scarlett 6i6 Gen 1 out USB 2.0 audio interface- REFURBISHED

Solid.
This item is solid. This model has it's own power adapter to bolster it's capabilities. I love the look and feel of this. The seller has done a great job at quality control. I use the Scarlet 6i6 for my audiophile setup. Plugging my turntable into the front inputs allows for optimum record playing/ripping. The 6i6 is the best version I have used so far. Previously owning the 2i4, the 6i6 is more versatile and has phantom power. It even has a power switch. Love this!!
