Out of the Shadow of Pink is a project my husband and I founded in 2005 after his diagnosis. Although there is more information available now most men are still sadly unaware. Please spread the word about male breast cancer. If these auctions help only one man discover breast cancer at an early stage then this will be a successful project. When found in its earliest stages, the chances for successful treatment and survival are greatest. In addition, each donation made brings us closer to a cure.

It is my goal to make everyone aware that breast cancer is not a disease that affects only women. Funds raised for Climb for Hope directly benefit breast cancer research. To date more than $500,000 has been raised and directed towards a vaccine being developed at Johns Hopkins University. Not only does the vaccine address some of the most aggressive and lethal forms of Breast Cancer, but the research is expected to derive advances for many forms of cancer as well. Our fundraisers sped up the work being done by Dr. Leisha Emens by 6 months, potentially saving thousands of lives.
