Business InformationPayment policy
I prefer to be paid with US Postal Service Money Orders. I will accept a certified cashier's check as well. I'm a retired law enforcement investigator and I've handled thousands of forgery cases so I make it a point to throughly check out each and every payment document I receive. It pays to still have contacts in the fraud investigation industry to help with the really good forgeries. Technology is so good nowadays that it is necessary to screen every money order or check that comes through. Don't worry, I am still able to get my items out quickly since I can usually verify a document within 24 hours.
Under certain circumstances, I will take Paypal but only after the buyer contacts me requesting to use Paypal and certain conditions are met. Paypal is a disaster waiting to happen and I will not be ripped off. IF a Paypal payment is made, I will wait until the money is safely in my account or hand before I ship an expensive item like a guitar. Contact me with any questions please.
Shipping information
I always ship thru US Postal Service Priority Mail. They haven't ever damaged a guitar that I've shipped and you will receive the guitar inside of 3 business days most of the time. Insurance is mandatory and will always be for the full amount of the purchase, rounded up to the nearest 100 dollars. I charge only for shipping and insurance, period. I don't charge for packing materials, gas, time, or any of that other stuff that some sellers use to pad their profits. Shipping and insurance for an average guitar shipped to the lower 48 runs anywhere from 25 to around 40 dollars, depending on weight. I try and charge the exact amount but sometimes when I get to the Post Office and have the box weighed, it ends up being more or less than my assumed weight. This means that sometimes you will receive an envelope in the box containing a refund of a few dollars if you overpaid. If it ends up costing more than I charged you, I'll eat the extra cost.
Return policy
For guitars, I always put insurance for the full purchase amount on the package. This is to protect your investment. I have never had a guitar damaged in transit and I pack extremely well. If a guitar is damaged in transit, it is the buyer's responsibility to file a claim with the US Postal Service. I will do everything that I can on my end to assist in getting the claim paid. Do not return the item to me. I describe my guitars and items accurately and I reveal any and every flaw if they have flaws. If you have any concerns, contact me. I've never had a complaint and since I describe accurately, I don't plan on having any.
