Pardesi Fashions began when the owner of the company realized it was not easy to find Indian fashions in the USA and abroad. While there were plenty of little shops selling here and there, the quality and the overall designs could not compare to the items she had made for her in India. The crucial turning point came when she decided to clean out her closests and listed a few salwar kameez on eBay. Much to her surprise, her used salwar kameez sold as if they were new items. After communicating with a few of the ladies who purchased her items, she realized that there were alot of women in the same situation she was in. She brought over a few pieces made by her tailor in India and tried her hand at more items on eBay. Within a few months, she had developed her own website also named PardesiFashions. Within a year she took the salwar kameez business to a whole new level, offering the same beautiful designs for all sizes of women and was the first salwar kameez seller to offer plus sizes.
