I'm a city girl by birth, worked 30 years at USSteel Gary Works, and retired to a little town in S.Carolina. I've come to love it here; very pretty, wonderful people. I sub at the local high school and actually miss the kids in the summer.

Favorite Movies
I pretty much stopped going to movies when it became clear that folks don't understand the difference between a theatre and their living room. BE QUIET and TAKE YOUR KIDS OUT IF THEY CAN'T BE QUIET! My kids are grown, but believe me, they didn't get to make noise in theatres or run around restaurants.... Okay, off the soapbox.
Favorite Music/Bands
I still like folk music. I'm also plebian enough to enjoy country music if it's not toooooo twangy - mostly because it has words you're SUPPOSED to listen to and understand. I'm also partial to a great tenor (in which case, the music is so beautiful that it doesn't matter if you can't understand the words)
