AKG SA40 SA 40 MIC MICROPHONE MOUNT CLIP HOLDER STAND BLACK (FITS C451 C452)
Feb 08, 2020
Still the best after all these years...
The original AKG SA-40 mic clip is still the best of its kind for small microphones. Originally supplied with the AKG 451 mics some 50 years ago, it also fits the more current P170 perfectly. Because of its slightly soft, flexible design, I have used them over the years for larger mics like the Shure SM94, the KSM109 and the SM137. I also use the SA-40 on tapered mics as well - namely, the Shure SM58 and the Heil PR20. One caution when using the SA-40 on a larger or tapered mic - don't expect it to shrink back to the original size - once it has been re-sized, there it will remain. Not a bad thing, but worth noting. Yes, there is at least one modern replacement clamp on the market, which looks exactly like the original SA-40; I bought several and found that they are not quite as flexible as the originals (even after 25-30 years!), and, for me, have one major design difference - the threaded fitting which screws onto the mic stand is not as deep as the original. On a mic stand or boom, not a problem, but this means that if you screw them onto an AKG stereo bar, the fitting bottoms out before the mic clamp is tight! I know this will not be a problem for some users, but, in that I have been using SA-40s on AKG stereo bars for about 40 years (my bars have a "Made in West Germany" sticker on them), this little design difference was a major problem, so I resorted to searching out good used AKG originals. They cost more than the modern imitations, but, at least to me, they are worth every penny. If you can find them, the original AKG SA-40 mic clamp is still the best of its kind.
AKG K240 MKII Professional Semi-Open Stereo Headphones
Aug 21, 2018
One of the Best!
One of the best! Superb, balanced sound, outstanding comfort, and a replaceable coil-cord to boot! My favorite daily-use monitoring headphone. BTW, I don't need isolation - if I did, I would choose something else, but the 240MKII is in a class by itself for a reasonably priced, light weight, open-air headphone. The best thing is - they sound great - if they didn't, everything else wouldn't matter. Excellent product, AKG!

Arriba AL56 dj tech deluxe microphone case
Jul 11, 2018
Great little case!
Great little case! Well built, perfect size for mics and clamps, but I use mine to hold a 7" camera monitor (in its own Arriba case to protect the screen) along with power supplies and cables for the camera. I also have two other Arriba cases for my Mackie SRM-150 speakers - not only less expensive than the Mackie case, but enough larger to hold plenty of cables, too! Keep it up, Arriba - excellent cases at a reasonable price! I know that the next time I need a case for anything, I will think "Arriba" first!
