All About MeWhat everyone should know about me
I was born and raised in New York and spent long Sunday afternoons at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This early education in classical tradition influenced my genre and style. However, I enjoy most styles & feel privileged to be able to share my art

Art on Ebay
A lot could be said on this subject because the Ebay art world is so different than the real art world. While my art sells for less on Ebay, and is smaller and less complex than my other art, I strive to maintain the same level of quality in both markets. This has become a quest of mine to the point of sacrificing sales in order to avoid turning one out for the sake of income. Quality and excellence are now, at least for me, part of the pursuit of beauty and creative authenticity. While my work may appear to be old world or old fashioned, I believe that a beautiful painting is timeless. Beauty in essence doesn't fade or become passe. It always was, and always will be. I strive not to copy or render what I see, but to re-create it in a way that forces others to give pause and to contemplate it. I want my viewers to see what surrounds them and fills their lives and that they so frequently pass without a second look. My work is contemplative and therefore demands time to appreciate.
Business InformationHistory/background
I worked for 25 years in the Graphic Arts industry and have been practicing as a professional artist for 10 years. I was raised in Yonkers, N.Y. and graduate from The Fashion Institute of Technology in 1972. I moved to California in 1982 and worked as a graphic artist there until going back to college in the 90's for a graduate degree in Psychology and Art. I graduated first from Antioch University and then California State University of Los Angeles. I worked as a couselor for 10 years and then turned to fine art. I subsequently moved to Port Angeles, WA where I currently reside. Although I miss the warm California sunshine, I love the forests and mountains of the Northwest. I spend cold winter days in my studio and long summer days out of doors painting en plein air (on location).
