As an individual running the ebay business I am honest, direct and to the point, prefer facts over assumption. I stick to the ebay rules even though my business ethics differ from ebay's, payment for example. I am much nicer than ebay permits.

We sell a variety of Antiques & Collectibles. From all era's. From all make's. Specializing in Advertising, primitive, pre-prohibition.

Using ebay, not much. Advertising mugs / steins. Yarn. Necessity items. Finding items for the collection is rare to find something we can't live without on ebay. Fairly advanced in our collections at this point of our lives.

Advertising items, stoneware, pre-prohibition signs, mugs, seltzer bottles, Country furniture, folk art, trade signs, all kinds of stuff, too much to mention here.

We have ONLY been in the Antique business. My husband is Bob's Antiques. Been so for over 35 years as a tax paying business, always collected as a child. I married into it. He has made a living at it and done so very well. He is very knowledgeable when it comes to early advertising, too many to count collections. Bob is sought after for reference, he is very knowledgeable in many areas. We continue to run an honest business selling through shops and doing shows. Bob has been collecting, buying and selling all his life. We belong to a few Antique organizations. You can google Bob's Antique's Mequon, Wisconsin and find us. We have been selling on eBay for over 10 years. I try to educate our bidders on every auction we list. It is to be read as information not insult. Those who know us, know Bob and his collections as an addiction to perfection. Condition is everything and only the best of the best are allowed to stay, unless something better comes along. Do you have your want list?

We accept all kinds of payment, eBay just doesn't allow me to solicit them in my auctions. We are a tax paying small business! In the United States we are allowed to pay and accept many forms of payment in a variety of ways, not just electronic. Is this a trick question ebay? If I mention what my business accepts for payment will it be against your policy? If I'm not allowed to be honest with what forms of payment we accept and it's only one way on your site, why ask me?

We ship using The United States Postal Service and their costs according to zip code zone destination, weight and size of the package. UPS for larger items. Actual cost they set. I do not make up costs to profit from, they are actual according to the 3rd party service. A small materials fee may be required.

Selling Antiques there is always the fear of a bait and switch. Now with Paypal and eBay interfering with my business they make it even more tempting and easier than ever. Paypal promotes fraud period. We do not accept returns. I know what I am listing, the photos show condition, everything is mentioned up front. There should be absolutely no reason for a return. If the package is damaged during delivery, that is an insurance claim with the company doing the shipping. We pack extremely well. You must remember we too are collectors and do unto other as we would like others to do unto us. The stuff we and yourself invest in is very important and we take it very seriously.

They tell me how to run my business! I have run a successful business longer than eBay has been in business! Ebay takes it upon themselves to be judge and jury, refunding without any investigation or knowledge of the item they refund. In fact, they may be screening this BIO! If it is not up to their standard, against any policy, it will be pulled. If ebay can not make a profit off me they turn it into something reading as unsafe and use the scare tactic to manipulate not only sellers but buyers. eBay is changing constantly. Taking away more of the sellers right to run their business. eBay forgets that it is the seller who is their customer! The buyer of my inventory is my customer! They have moved farther away from being only a venue. When they begin to dictate how I must run my business where the bottom lies a profit in their pocket, setting goals I must reach to maintain a business on ebay or else pay the consequence, making it more difficult than profitable, we have a problem!

What differentiates a 5 star DSR from a 4 star besides the word very? If everything was done accordingly, acceptable, and 4 stars are left, I am looked at negatively through ebay and PAY the consequence in more fees, searches, and item placement! Buyers must learn to rate on involving FACT not opinion, leavingfeedback.com. I no longer leave feedback. I can only leave positive feedback for buyers! What is the purpose? I can't even leave a neutral or negative for non-paying bidders! That is the only reason I left them! I can't rate you on communication etc., if there is no need to communicate and everything was clear to you, why am I being rated on something unnecessary? 3 stars is viewed as neutral, looked upon as negative, that really costs me! If ebay is telling you neither - nor, and they tell us the neutral affect has been removed from ebay, why is it still there in the form of 3 stars? Too many cooks in ebays kitchen who gets burned? ME! You are thanked many times when buying.
