Limited use, videotapes only plays and functions with in its own machine.
0 of 3 found this helpful This Mitsubishi VCR HS-U775 videorecords and replay is excellent but ONLY works on this individual VCR. The videotape recorded on this VCR will not work on my other Mitsubishi or Panasonic VCRs etc. Some kind of secret code crap that makes it only work on its own individual machine for copyright reasons. This destroys our intent to use this VCR, which is to tape shows in different room, and later watch it in the family room. So please, buyer BEWARE. Know what you are getting. This may be true for all VCR products of later years.
