I've recently started the enrollment process to become a certified gemologist and appraiser through GIA. It is an expensive hobby but now I want to make it my career. Unfortunately circumstances make it impossible to work outside my home, so I finally found a way to make a hobby I enjoy an avenue to get an education and have a career again too. Kind of like the commercial with the woman in PJ pants, slippers, silk blouse and blazer for her video conference call. Now you know why I've started to sell items on Ebay and other various sites. I hope you will find my once hobby one of your own and know that the money you spend here will be going to a good cause. My education and my dream of having a career again. Payment policy
Right now I will accept Pay-Pal and personal checks from well know banks such as Bank of America or Well's Fargo. I cash personal checks at the customer's bank and deposit the cash into my own account that way I know the check is good and it does not have to clear before I ship the items. (I am sorry but there are a lot of fraudulant schemes out there.) All items will be shipped within 2 days of the payment clearing. If you would like to combine items just let me know. I will combine items upto 7 days from the end date of the first item. Payments must be received within 7 days from the end of the first auction date to avoid a NON-PAYING Bidder Notification that could result in Negative feedback. Please contact me if there is a problem so we can work it out and avoid the negative feedback (I do not like to leave it.)
Shipping information
Everything I sell will be neatly packaged and will include an invoice and introduction/sales sheet. All gemstones will be contained in individual, protective gem jars. I am sorry but I will be shipping to United States customers only with confirmed addresses for the time being NO EXCEPTIONS. Unless otherwise stated all packages will be shipped via USPS. All packages must have insurance and a confirmation signature will be required. I will pay for the USPS confirmation signature only! The Buyer is responsible for all other shipping charges/handling charges. If the Buyer requests shipping by UPS or FED-EX, the Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges (more expensive). Again insurance and a confirmation signature required. All packages will be weighed prior to the auction and a small handling charge will be stated in the auction itself (for cost only). I do combine shipping and it will be based on the weight NOT by each item. This should save the buyer in shipping/handling fees.

I do not have it set up right now. As soon as I figure it out I will post it. There will be one.
Contact information
I use ebay's message system. If you send me a message via e-mail chances are it is blocked unless you notify me and I will alllow you access. (Way too much junk mail after signing up with ebay so I blocked just about everything. Scammers and spammers are rude) All customers will receive my email/contact information and be added to my business email's allowable list. I do check junk mail so please put in the subject line [(The word Question, item#, and category (IE:Question Item#123456 Gemstone)]. I will update all my contact information as soon as I am set up for selling. All correspondance from me is sent via ebay's message center, copied to my email for saving, and I will UN-HIDE my email address. (If I am buying I hide my address until I am a winning bidder then I un-hide it. Sorry if this is an inconveince however my regular sellers will be given my email) Thank you.
My Policy on Leaving Feedback For Sellers
I have read the MANY concerns about Ebays new policy changes regarding FEEDBACK and how Sellers CAN NOT LEAVE NEGATIVE/NEUTRAL FEEDBACK FOR A BUYER. I BELIEVE THIS LEAVES AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE TO THE BUYER BY GIVING BAD BUYERS THE POWER TO CORRUPT A SYSTEM THAT IS INTENDED TO BE A TOOL USED BY BOTH. MY PROMISE to the SELLER as a BUYER: I WILL LEAVE POSITIVE, DETAILED FEEDBACK IN ALL CASES UNLESS THE SELLER DOES NOT RESPOND TO INQUIRIES OF A PROBLEM. IN THE 3RD, NON-RESPONSIVE INQUIRY, I WILL LET THE SELLER KNOW I AM UNHAPPY AND WILL HAVE TO LEAVE NEGATIVE FEEDBACK DUE TO THEIR LACK OF RESPONSE TO THE PRIOR EMAIL/MESSAGES SENT. WITH THE 3RD EMAIL, THE SELLERS RESPONSE WILL DETERMINE A POS/NEG/NEUTRAL RATING. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT ANY NEGATIVE FEEDBACK SHOULD BE LEFT IF THE SELLER RESPONDS WITH GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE EVENT PROBLEMS DO OCCUR. I BELIEVE THAT MISTAKES CAN BE MADE BUT IT IS HOW YOU ACT UPON IT THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE.
My Policy about my Buying/Buyer Feedback
I treat Sellers fairly in Every Possible way! But, I do NOT believe in Sellers NOT leaving Positive Feedback until AFTER one is left for them. The Buyer's job is to communicate with a Seller any questions/concerns before bidding, bid/buy, pay/clear according to terms, confirm received and communicate IF any problems. WHEN this is done the Buyer Deserves Positive Feedback BEFORE the Seller. Any Seller who leaves me positive feedback First based on my job as a Buyer will always see me as a repeat customer. Unfortunately, Sellers who wait will not. If I am happy with the purchase I will try again but if the Seller still does not trust me as a repeat customer then I Will Not buy again. If a seller states they Do Not leave feedback until the buyer does I will not buy from them at all. If I receive NO feedback I will not buy again even if I am happy with the purchase. I will give all courtesy to the Seller but I EXPECT the same in return. MY CUSTOMERS WILL RECEIVED THE SAME RESPECT.
