A must read for ALL families that have a child with Aspergers Syndrome
My son is almost 11 and he has Aspergers and ADHD. I purchased this book along with other aids to assist my son and our family in understanding Aspergers. I want to teach him WHY aspergers can cause some difficulties along the way, but more importantly WHY Aspergers is a gift. I have never met a child with Aspergers who is not Full of Spirit, Beauty and Innocence at such an Extreme Level. It is something spectacular to watch and be a part of, although daunting at times as many don't understand the Extremeness of it.
Because my son views the world so differently than others including myself, I was not sure how to explain Aspergers to him in a way that he would understand and feel good about. My hope for this book was to help explain and answer some of his questions that I can not. Because it was written by a child with Aspergers Syndrome and therefore with the insight & experience that my son may understand, I thought it would be a great fit.
He was so happy to receive this and the other books and aids I purchased, and I am extremely please with this book and it fulfilled it's purpose not only for my son, but to help me understand the Aspergers World.. I would highly recommend this book to all families who has a child with the gift of Aspergers. Great Insight!
