ONE CREEPY MOVIE !
5 of 5 found this helpful I bought this movie because I had seen it many years ago on television and it is one of those movies that sticks with you once you've seen it. I recalled how scary and creepy it was back then as a child, and wondered if it would have
that same affect now that I am an adult. IT DID! The movie is about a young married couple that inherit an old house. They move in and begin renovations on the place. When they decide to reopen a bricked up fireplace, they unknowingly release several little creatures who have been held captive there. Anyone who watched this movie as a youth when it first aired on TV can probably tell you that they still have images of those nasty little creatures in their heads. The creatures have one objective and that is to capture/kill the wife (Sally). She becomes aware of their presence and their intent to harm her but when she tells her husband, she is unable to convince him that it is more than just her imagination. The final showdown comes at the end when Sally is given a sedative to make her sleep and then left all alone in the house at night. If you enjoy movies that scare you and keep you on the edge of your seat then THIS IS FOR YOU! From the opening scene until the closing scene, you won't be disappointed. This movie is rather difficult to find so grab it while you've got the chance. WARNING: You may not want to watch this alone at night and I would definitely advise against it for young children.

4 of 4 found this helpful I watched the original film starring Patty Duke many years ago and TOTALLY loved it so I decided to buy this re-make version. I prefer the original because I think that Patty Duke was extraordinary in the leading role and the atmosphere of that time and place seemed a little more realistic to me. Had I not seen the original, I am sure I would have been more impressed with this version. It IS done very well and the actors/actresses portray their characters very well. I have no regrets about purchasing it and would highly recommend it to anyone. I would also suggest that perhaps you see if you can get a copy of the original version and compare them for yourself. Great movies - both of them.

1 of 1 found this helpful I absolutely loved this movie! All the stars are great, but Kevin James really made this movie. I am not really a "laugh-out-loud" type of person, but this movie (particularly Kevin James) really had me going. It's a great date movie as I think both parties would enjoy it. Definitely not a movie you want to miss, and make sure you watch the dancing at the end. It's so funny!
