History/background
In 2002, two best friends with a love of great thrift and a passion for vintage clothing looked at their overflowing closets and joked, 'We could open a store.' Thus Rad Betty's
Fresh Thrift & Vintage was born.
In 2004, they decided it was time to pass the shop on to a new 'Betty.' Shelly Marcum purchased the store and relocated it from a strip mall to an older brick storefront in the heart of Reno. After streamlining the stock and refining the mission, Rad Betty's has been named 'Best Place to Buy Vintage Clothes' for the last four years in the annual Reno News & Review's Best of Northern Nevada poll. Known for our friendly atmosphere and truly personal service, our emphasis is on quality, wearable vintage clothing and unique costume items for any occasion.
