Favorite Childhood Toy
It was my Fisher Price Mini Toy Lunch Kit #549 from 1962 resembling a barn with a silo thermos. It could only hold 1/2 a peanut butter & jelly sandwich and 1/2 a cup of chocolate milk. I loved it dearly! One afternoon I left it in the driveway behind our car. It met its demise as my mom backed out of the drive. I was only 1 1/2 years old, but I remember it with anguish! Thanks to my sister who surprised me with a replacement a few years back which she purchased through Ebay. I sobbed when I opened that little lunch box all these years later. She had tucked a small tissue pack inside because she knew how I would react! You can find a photo of it here:
