A Spiritual Journey Wonderfully Writeen
This is one of my favorite books, so I purchased this copy for a friend of mine. This book shares Ms. Gallagher's journey from place to place and teacher to teacher in her search for a great understanding of God in her life and in the world. She finds new insights at each juncture of her journey, but, at the same time, she sometimes ends up with more questions which may be answered later on as you continue to read. She has written a book that is very articulate and invites you to journey with her. Her insights into God and other spiritual matters can stretch you at times and it can reaffirm things that you already knew but perhaps find that she has put them into a language that is meaningful to you, also. If you want something off the beaten "Christian" path of "God in a box," give this a try. I think you'll grow from it even if you disagree. It can help you solidify your journey for now.

Good Cancer Information, Spiritually???
I purchased this book when a friend recommended it to me after my diagnosis and surgery for rectal cancer. I found the information about cancer and treatment to be very thorough. The spirituality part I found to be somewhat Christian fundamentalist and trite at times. So, the cancer part of the book was very helpful, but the spirituality part I found to be not helpful at all in application to my own life.
I would probably recommend this to friends who may be dealing with cancer themselves or who might have a family member or friend going through cancer or treatments with the caveat to take or leave the spiritual parts as they deemed applicable or not to their own beliefs.
