I've been buying Junk and selling Junque in one form of another for 25 years or so. I never really made it pay till ebay came along and made it possible to reach a group of people who are looking for things and are willing to spend a certain amount money to acquire them. My job as I see it is not really to know what everything is worth but instead to recognize value when I see it. After I accquire the item my job becomes to present it in as honest a way as I can. This means saying flat out in the description if I don't really know much about an item or catagory.

I accept Pay Pal or Bid Pay, money orders or personal checks (no personal checks from outside the USA). Personal checks will delay shipping till I can confirm the check has cleared my bank. Cash as a last resort but it should only be sent registered mail.

I try to ship items at as close to the actual cost of shipping as I can. It is not my intention to make money on shipping. Sometimes I'm a little over sometimes I'm a little under. It about evens out for me but I realize that doesn't matter to you if you end up paying a couple of more dollars than actual cost to receive your item. I try to avoid that but I don't pack items till after the sale ends because as sure as I do someone asks a question and I have to unpack the item. My weight estimates are based on the actual weighed item plus how much I estimate the packing material will weigh. I usually ship 1000 to 1500 items a year and I average about 3 insurance claims. I think that says I know how to pack and that I don't skrimp on packing material to save money. If there is damage and you have opted to buy the optional insurance I will work with you till the end to see the claim is paid. Delivery confirmation or tracking is required on everything that I ship.

As Is means AS IS. AS IS but to be as described, means that if I have made untrue claims in my description that I will accept a return on the item. Or if I just totally miss some damage I will accept a return. I will not take an item back because it does not match your drapes.
