I have been sewing since I was about 9 years old. It started with an old Childcraft book section called Make and Do. I saw pattern-making in perspective, even at a young age. I started sewing professionally at the age of 18, when I made several cheerleading outfits my senior year and parents paid me. By that time I could make an outfit in a day to be able to wear out that night. I didn't have much of a wardrobe when I was young, because my family couldn't afford it. I guess that's why I knew in order to have the styles and clothing I wanted, I had to make them myself. I began buying fabric(from the sale table of course) when I started work at age 15. After sewing several years for myself and two years of marriage, I began the long journey(and I do mean long) in search for that venue that would bring me greatest pleasure in a sewing career. I finally reached a dream of a much coveted goal about 10 years ago when I opened a storefront on a main highway.
