If you are a "Napa"-Head like me, this dog will hunt!!!!
What can I say about this Napa beauty that you cant see from a picture? Because it looks as good as it feels in your hand. This is a fine offset Napa putter for those of you with "gated" strokes like me! This feels great and happy I got a used one on ebay! This one is a keeper, going right next to the Wilson 8802 and the Teardrop TD42!

Teardrop, What can you say bad about anything they made
Well, love this company and wish they were still "alive and kicking" as a company, kinda like I wish Ray Cook was still there too! I didnt even know Teardrop made a wedge! I am a teardrop fan and have a few putters by them (Still looking for that elusive TD42! hint hint!) and love them. I saw this wedge on ebay and bid and won it. I couldnt wait to hit it! The wedge got delivered and I went right to the range with "real" grass tee boxes to try it. My first impression was it was a little heavy, until I hit it! I love this wedge and the same of if not better than a Cleveland Reg 588! This teardrop has almost a "DSG" grind on it and it feels awesome when hit this wedge, of grass or the mats! I bought a 502 55 degree SW that is chrome with the famous teardrop logo on the back of the wedge, it really is a pretty looking wedge, beyond how iyt plays! The shaft feels stiff to me, as it is not marked on the shaft band, just the teardrop logo is on it. The grip is terrible (lol) but thats me being honest. I kept mine on there as the "teardrop" logo is on the front of grip in white paintfill (they didnt have a marketing problem, aye?). I put some acetone on the grip and it softened it up enough to use, so worked for me. I dont think they made too many of these, so this is going next to my TD17FC putter (pulling for Freddy in 2011 masters, go Boom Boom!. I do alot of flop shots and lay my club down open and flat on the ground more times than i want to admit, and this thing preforms. I am totally impressed but its not shocking, its a teardrop! -Ricky Ricky's Kustom Werkz Bawstin's Finest

I'm a fan! picture "Portly" Laguna! lol
Ok, so loved the look of the "SR or Silver Ray" series Ray Cook's and started looking at them on ebay more closely than before. I wanted to get one to try, as have about a dozen Ray Cook's in my "collection" of sorted flat sticks. I personally am a "mallet" guy, so of course the "IV" looked best to me at first glance! I love the bright chrome finish they have and the colors arent the best, but hey, it was the 70's so whatever, I am going to paintfill mine! The head feels to me about 310 grams, but hard to tell with the shaft on it for sure, but not as heavy as it looks (youll like that on slow greens, like we have up here in Boston 9 months a year!). If you can find one with the stock grip in good condition, go for that one! It is a pistol grip Ray Cook that feels like a touch smaller than a mid-size, which I love with XL mitts for hands! At address, it looks like a vintage putter, which I also love! My favorite thing is the shape of the rear flange, it is perfect for picking up a ball!Being a mid-mallet, the "scoop" is large enough to almost play lacrosse with a golf ball in it! It is very easy to pick up a ball quick and toss or pop up in air, and on a course with the fellah's, anything you bring to the table is always good! Now how it putts, it is a heel shafted mallet, so that took all of 20 putts to master for me, then I fell in love with it. It is a great putter, and i wont begin to tell you it will sink tons of putts for you, but I will say, I am not selling mine, I am re-condtioning it is we speak, the Ray Cook Silver Ray IV is not going anywhere! Since, I also got a SR V and like it for a blade, Ill probably get all of them! Look for that review! Ray Cook is where the "modern" putter began! I mean the history really is impressive of this little company, if you dont know it, and love golf, google it, youll be surprised to learn that Scotty Cameron, Robby Bettinardi, the ninja Kia Ma, the red "Baron" all worked there and were buds! This company re-invented the flat stick, and the Ray Cook SR IV is proof that they were way ahead of their time! (among other things like cross-hatched wedge faces for better bite, hmmm CG15 now? lol). The SR IV is a heel-shafted mid-mallet beauty. If you want to get a good 'picture' of the putter, think a wide-laguna cameron. Same style of putter but mallet. I got mine for 18 bucks or something and I love it! Alot cheaper than a cameron or premium brand putter. This thing was made when they "crafted" putters, not just mass-produced them! Its worth a shot, trust me, buy it right and you will love it! As always folks, stay positive, too much negativity out there! -Ricky Ricky's Kustom Werkz Bawstin's Finest
