Joining eBay in August 1998 I started on pretty shaky legs...barely knowing the basics of how to turn on the computer, let alone finding what I was looking for. What I did know was that after owning a large fleamarket along I-44 that there was no such thing as a 5-day work week and that raising 2 teenage boys along with my 4 dogs, cats and fish with those hours was not going to work out very well. Eventually I sold my business in 2000 (still keeping a booth because I'm a junkaholic) and slowly but steady learned the Do's and Don'ts of on line auctions. In order to make your ( sometimes confusing ) eBay experience a delightful and easy one, here now without further delay are some of my terms and routine's.... Payment Terms: I DO NOT accept money hidden in envelopes! Explanation: Over 8 years experience on eBay have taught me that most people are honest and good; however a few are not. Money hidden in an envelope leaves NO papertrail....nobody can prove if it was there or not....including my taxlady at the end of the year. Having said that and hopefully not scared you off by now..........I do accept just about all other forms of payment and they are listed in every auction; most of them with an icon to click on for your convenience. SHIPPING and HANDLING: Procedures you can count on when you buy an item from me: After 20 plus military moves (now retired) I do my VERY best to wrap everything as safely as possible....i.e.: - item is mailed with cardboard backing (i.e. hankies, ads,books, records etc) - item will be wrapped/sealed in plastic protection before it goes into the box. - if needed item mailed will include padding - ALL address labels will be covered with plastic to prevent fading ink resulting in loss of mail - use of recycled wrapping material ( bubble wrap, peanuts, card board etc that I pick up from other storefront retail businesses) to keep your handling cost the lowest possible - S and H COST are listed in EVERY auction ( NO HIDDEN cost here !) - if you would like protection against loss by USPS please pay for optional insurance FEEDBACK: I will leave feedback for you the minute you tell me the item arrived safely in your hands.
