"A Bright And Shining Lie"
For me the movie was one of the most over-looked movies on the Vietman war movie scene. The movie title explains the movie "A Bright And Shining Lie" which in my opinion is very important to the movie from jump-street. I never read the book and I did not know the movie ever existed until I first watched the movie on a pay station. From there I was hooked, as I have almost ever Vietnam movie on DVD. This movie goes deep and how we could & should have one over Vietnam even before 1965. Or even finished the war by 1973, but no one listened or paid attention to the main character Paul Vann Patten (played by Bill Paxton). The characters all compliment each other throughout the movie, making for an excellent movie with authentic acting by professional actor's telling a story for me to watch. To sum it up, it was like my feet in the sand at the beach, watching a nice fire burning in the fire place on a snowy winter's night or curling up under the blankie next to my better half. The movie as a Vietnam war movie moved me and not all have do this. I owned it, I lost it. And then I found it on eBay at a good price I could not refuse. This much I can say: you know a movie you have watched at the time and even maybe again. At the time you thought were pretty good. Then 1 to 3 years later you watch the same movie and it is difficult to watch because of the bad sound effects, or things just do not look right as rain as they once did when you the first or second time you watched it. This is not so for me with this movie, when time permits I watch it knowing that everything will be a good movie again. This sums it up if you get what I am saying about this movie. If you like Vietnam movies, watch this one cause it is a winner hands down. It takes a good movie in my eyes to want to watch it again and have it make me think or wonder afterwards again. This is that movie for me no doubt about it. And that is why I bought it, since the movie is so over-looked the price was right. Hope you got something from what I have written, thank you & peace.

Excellent Cd for almost any price especially the 1st pressing
Scarce Original 1997 Cd Cover. One the bands hard banging Cd's in the past from 1997. Tough to make hit after hit Cd since 1973. even the Rolling Stones do not do it. This Cd rocks & should not be missed out on by any Aerosmith fan /collector!
