Occasionally I offer items from my personal collections, mostly things gathered over the years, rare and antique collectibles of good quality which I have up-graded and now have duplicates or when making room for something new. All quality pieces; no flea market junk. Sometimes I help sell something for a neighbor or friend. I pack extremely well and ship immediately; you pay only the exact shipping/mailing costs (perhaps $1 -$2 extra if special materials are required). My aim is to get your purchase to you safely so that you can continue to enjoy the great item that I once owned. I don't sell often, but when I do, you can count on it being accurately described and of quality equivalent to the price asked. If it's not satisfactory, you'll get your money back just as soon as you return it. I'm honest, and my reputation speaks for itself.

I'm an eclectic collector with a wide range of interests but try to concentrate on decoys, antique model canoes/kayaks from around the world, northwest coast native items, good reference books. I hope to be treated with the same civility, honesty and care as I provide to my buyers. You will find I pay quickly and communicate thoroughly. I expect fair play and do not hestitate to inform authorities about dishonest treatment or to report any fraudulent activities I see.

Over the past 15-20 years, I have assembled one of the largest, most diverse, better quality international collections of antique and vintage model canoes and kayaks anywhere. It rivals many museum collections, even surpasses them in some instances. See photo above left showing about half my collection of well over 100 pieces; many of the rest are larger; some date back to the mid-1800's. I have been a consultant to several museums for purposes of identification and valuation appraisals of their core collections and donations made to them. Also like antique hunting decoys and helped found and create the Canadian Decoy & Outdoor Collectible Association (1996), was its Executive Director for the first 4 years, wrote newsletter, organised shows and looked after memberships (over 280 paid-up subscribers in US and Can.)

From time to time, I notice other ebayers offering for sale badly misdescribed items within my collecting knowledge field. Sometimes I write and offer info (free) to try to help out. As a collector, I hate to see my hobby suffer through mistakes and disappointment for fellow enthusiasts. Sometimes the mistakes are more like fakery and fraud. I don't hestitate to point this out to ebay, and will try to warn unsuspecting buyers. I believe in supporting the ebay community. Bad, faked-up stuff does sometimes get passed off on ebay as a real antique - often when the term salesman's sample is applied to model canoes, kayaks, miniature paddles. If you have any doubts as to whether what you are buying is real, I will be more than happy to pass along what I have learned over the years. My hope is to put the scammers out of business. I simply wish that the people who operate ebay really had a greater interest in policing the sales. Safe harbor is ineffective; ebay computer responses are a joke.

I can pay you using PayPal, or any other form acceptable to you other than by wire. You can pay me by international money order or check (personal OK, but certified preferred). I will not ship before your check clears.

I use the best, fastest and safest methods, either by post or via courier. I pack extremely well, use lots of tape and padding and charge only the actual shipping costs (a bit extra if additional materials are needed and I have to go out and buy for you).

I'm honest and do not like to disappoint. If you're not satisfied with the quality or condition of an item as I have described it, send it back and your money will be refunded, less the shipping charges. I do not like to make refunds based soley on buyer's remorse, so make sure you want to buy it before you bid. Ask lots of questions in advance; you'll get full information to the extent that I am able to supply it or have it.
