The group came to the first house in sight. It was a faded blue house with the windows curtains shut. Claire and Ben both exited the jeep. Matt stayed inside. The path to the house was a cobble stone corroded and faded in the ground. Looking at the house it looked as if no one has lived their for years. Claire and Ben approached the door of the house and Claire knocked. A few minutes later a aged women opened the door. The women was wearing an old washed out red dress with a blanket she was knitting. She appeared as if she hadn’t come out of her house in years. The women then screamed at Claire and Ben with a cracking voice “ What are you doing hear, what do you want”. Claire and Ben stepped back quickly frightened. Claire asked the old women, “ Where are the nearest camping areas in the woods“. The old women changed her tone and quickly shut her door with a pale frightened look on her face. Claire and Ben both didn’t know what to think and went back to the Jeep.

“What was that about“, Claire exclaimed. Ben answered “ I have no idea, what should we do”? Claire said “ maybe we should camp somewhere else. I don’t feel right here”. Ben Said with a confused but determined attitude “ I’m sure it’s no big deal, we should continue on” Matt in a low tone agreed with Ben . Claire agreed but felt they weren’t welcomed.

As the group of friends left the house, they followed misleading signs, and about one hour later, found a side road leading into the woods. They continued on the road for about thirty miles and the road came to an abrupt stop with dead aspens and pines lying on the road. The friends decided to enter into the woods.

Day 1 of camping they went into the woods with gear and hiked for a while until it got dark. They decided to camp in a clearing with dead leaves and brush. They set up a small tent, ate and went to bed. In the night the wind blew cold. With only the sound of silence, and BOOM something attacked their tent viciously and aggressively as if it were a bear attack. The sound was a squeal as if it came from a crying dog. Claire woke up, and noticed Matt was gone. The sound quickly came to a halt and Claire woke Ben. Ben woke, but heard nothing. Claire and Ben, frightened and scared, slowly came out of the tent to see what had just happened. Matt was gone and vanished as if he were never their.

Day 2 of camping Claire and Ben quickly lost perceptionof what was happening and they were fighting for their lives. As they attempted to travel back to their Jeep, they were returned to their original camping area in the clearing, even though they knew they were going the opposite direction. They were lost and couldn’t understand what was happening. When they found an new area they discovered witchcraft symbols on the trees. Claire and Ben began to realize that the woods they were in had been completely sabotaged by some spell of witchcraft. Later, Claire and Ben hiked in every direction, but still returned to their original camping area. It was getting dark and they still found no sign of help. Tired and helpless they decided they had to sleep. That night ,the wind made a low swishing sound like the waves descending into the ocean. The trees were scraping against each other and the leaves were blowing off the

ground into the trees. Claire couldn’t sleep and Ben stayed awake watching outside the tent. Later in the night, Claire fell asleep for about 10min and woke up to Ben screaming. Claire rushed out of the tent and found Ben being dragged by a mysterious unidentified and even un animal like thing. The thing took Ben deeper into the woods at un human like pace. Claire tried to pursue and chase the creature but couldn’t as Ben‘s scream became distant. Day 3 became even more helpless for Claire, and she soon became numb to her future. She tried to find her friends while still saving herself but she knew her destiny was inevitable. The night came and Claire was taken by the mysterious creature that still lies a burden in Bridgeport.
