I was unable to work for a while, but I'm back now with tons to sell.

Packing is done as safely as possible. I once watched a mail carrier drop-kick a package from the sidewalk to my porch. That convinced me that all packages that I send should be able to withstand that. At the same time, I will use lightweight packing materials whenever possible and heavy packing material only when necessary.

I also buy things on Ebay. I usually don't bid on auctions where shipping is padded for profit or a handling fee is charged. I try to charge only the actual postage. There have been many times that I estimated wrong but then sent refunds to the buyers. I don't charge you for my expenses (bubble wrap, peanuts, tape, gasoline, listing fees, etc.). Instead, I use these as business deductions at tax time. .............. I also hate being charged for delivery confirmation. That service protects the seller, so the buyer should not be charged for it. Although PayPal requires delivery confirmation, they also add it for free on many transactions and for very little on the others through their online shipping 'store.' That means that sellers who charge you for delivery confirmation are either not using the free service at PayPal when they could or they are making undeserved profit off you.

I just have to remember that some buyers may not realize that a heavy item costs more to ship. And, another seller may charge less to ship the same item but they may not use any padding. Eeek. This rating is to show Ebay and others that I am not gouging buyers on shipping, not a place to complain that the Post Office raised their rates. Patience, Patti, patience.
