THE LOST ART OF CONVERSATION
I am a conversationalist. Although I admit to loving film, I also want even more the activity of conversation. I've always heeded the input of the sage who said, When I'm talking, I don't learn a thing, but when I'm listening, I'm learning everything!. So my intellectual stimulation is started by throwing a lot of questions at people who do things I know nothing about. A veteran builder of huge projects in Las Vegas is Irwin Molasky, and I spent quite a bit of time, listening to him talk about how he built so many structures in the early Vegas--it was fascinating! While working as an extra on the film, Casino, I was extremely lucky to be stuck on an actual private jet, engaged in conversation with Don Rickles, regaling about how it was being with Sinatra during his Rat Pack heyday! I have friends in many places, having moved a number of times, and this keeps my love of intellectual and stimulating conversation active. Boredom is not part of my vocabulary!

VINYL LP APPRECIATION
RTS is greatly appreciated and supported strongly in our specialty of soundtrack LPs, Broadway original cast LPs, Pop LPs and Nostalgia LPs. When LP collectors want the finest, they come to us, because we offer them the rare titles they covet, and we offer them in the finest condition possible--MINT condition, pristine LP covers--just as they were when they were released, in some cases, over 50 years ago! Vinyl LPs are collected for a number of reasons: 1) their 12 inc size is impressive, and you can actually read the liner notes; the graphics are beautiful too!; 2) the LP is an analog sound (as opposed to digital). This is actually a truer sound to the original source, as the sound waves they make plus the ambient sounds (most of which are synthesized in the digital format of CDs by square, filtered pulses is like trying to put a square peg in a round hole are lost in digital)! 3) LPs speak to a nostalgia of a past long gone that collectors savor, many frame the covers
FILM APPRECIATION ON VIDEO
Referring back to our world travels in search of the rare, because we are first and foremost film lovers and film buffs, we've accumulated thousands of rare creations originally put on film that we've been able to preserve on video. Many of things we've found have never been seen by most viewers as they were never available in movie theaters or on television. They might be rare silents like a promo newsreel of the ill-fated Titanic or a 1926 MGM Studios tour, rare early serials, silent westerns, films from the forgotten numerous studios in New York and Hollywood, promotional, educational films from railroads and numerous other subjects, rare film bloopers, home movies, drive-in ads, trailers/previews, rare shorts (many from the 1930s, many in color!) covering everything from a night at the Catalina Ballroom to a vintage Hollywood Christmas party. There isn't anything that we've not taken an interest in during our worldwide search! A lost film Rogue's Song--we have a clip!Write us!
