The paint I prefer to use,is a liquid acrylic paint formulated with a high concentration of pigment so I am able to use a very fluid technique for making my abstract backgrounds before I hone in on the detail of my subject and still maintain the brilliance of the colors. I have had a lifetime of exposure to Florida's wilderness and have always been the hands on type of adventurer. Some of the things Ive done to inspire my work and ingrain my subject matter in my minds eye include travelling and camping throughout Florida, sailing from Miami to The Azores, Living and playing in the Florida Keys, becoming a SCUBA Instructor, being a mother, and having good friends. I like to spend time on and in the water every chance I can get as this activity freshens my outlook and exercises my ability to be easily amused. I have a multitude of projects in the works and in my imagination which include two and three dimensional works of art. I love recycling building materials that are in good condition to incorporate in my work. This provides me with new textures and mediums to tackle.
