The Best Collector's Edition Artbook Ever
2 of 2 found this helpful Being an art fan, I love to look at the art of games that I truly appreciate for their style and overall appeal. Some companies have this under wraps more so than others. Generally I would buy the Collector's Editions of games due to the fact that they contain artbooks and I love to look through them. However, more often than not, these artbooks are only a 20 pages or so of select art clippings that it looks like the publisher put together at the last minute.
After going through countless games of having to deal with what they claimed as an "artbook", I was finally able to obtain a real artbook that was given in a Collector's Edition of a game. Blizzard was spot on with their inclusion of this 176 page artbook into their Collector's Edition. It is what an artbook should really be. They covered just about all aspects of the game in terms of art and I can say that I am completely satisfied.
As for the game itself, I honestly have never been a real-time strategy (RTS) fan as it didn't really appeal to me growing up. Most of my friends preferred other games that were on consoles or if it was on the PC, it would be a first person shooter (FPS) or role-playing game (RPG). I have to say that Blizzard made a winner. The game is fun no matter win or lose. Everything feels balanced. They didn't change the formula, but why should they change something that works? Sure there are some minor tweaks here and there that are needed, but anyone should realize that nothing will ever be perfect no matter how hard we try.
If you are still on the ropes about purchasing this product, I highly recommend that you take a second look and seriously consider this game.
