I'm pretty much an ordinary guy, father & husband. I enjoy history a lot. I have done Civil War re-enacting from both North and South perspectives extensively.

I buy things that I like to collect and think may have some resell value. If I have bought something for a high price and sell it years later I would hope to have that item fetch a fair price, even if it doesn't pay for the original shipping but just comes close to what I paid for it.

I like things that people used in everyday life, farm life, work life, life in general. I like things that have moving parts or specific functions related to historical uses.

Civil War Re-enacting, thus my eBay name. I used to ride a horse in the cavalry named Secesh, pronounced SEE-cesh. Now you know the reason for the name I have. My horse is gone now after 30 years and I have moved from Louisiana to Virginia. The tin-type photograph on my page shows my horse and I back home some years ago.

Too many to name just a few but subjects are: Civil War, Mountain Man era, Woodworking with old tools, Wet plate photography, Historical accounts of pioneer life.

Ride with the Devil, Open Range, Jeremiah Johnson, Conagher and oh yeah lets not forget The Outlaw Josey Wales and other movies by and starring Clint Eastwood.

I used to watch shows like the CSI series NCIS and basically any show with bodies dropping around. Mystery type shows. Now I like ANYTHING on the History Channel, SCI-FI or SYFY as they call it now, Discovery and things along those lines. I use the local library alot for movie rentals. Cannot beat the price!

I have been a buyer and seller on ebay, its a good way to find things you want or need.

Paypal payments are the easiest way to handle transactions. I have to admit I was a little leary of it when I was new but it just cant be beat as a way to pay. The flip side is that from a sellers point of view the charges are not cheap and I have to figure into my prices not only the final valuation fee ebay charges but what paypal will charge, then there is the matter of what I actually had to pay for an item in the first place. If it seems things in stores are higher than what you might get them for in an auction, its true. I have found that out myself. The up side is that items in the store are there for the taking, you don't have to wait a week or more for an auction to end and hope you get the item you really wanted. Items in stores are availible on your schedule and you can decide in your own time if you want the item.

Since opening a store I am trying to figure shipping costs as close as possible in the price so that there is nothing else to worry about when it comes to figuring things out. The price listed is the price you pay period.

I offer returns and I usually ask that I be contacted within a few days of delivery of a problem and that the item be returned at the buyers cost. The reason for the cost sharing is that there is ample time to find out and ask questions about an item before buying. I know that I am not knowingly and for the most part unknowingly misrepresent some item as something it is not. Its a two way street. I don't want anybody buying anything from my store or anyone else's if they arent sure about an item so be sure, ask questions and get answers before bidding or buying. You can also use the web to do research on items of historical import. If something is a reproduction I will sell it as such clear as day. If selling something as an antique, rest assured I have exhausted every effort to make sure of what I am selling. My reputation as a seller depends on making my customers happy and satisfied with their purchases.
