All items over $50 must be insured. Many of my glass items are insurance required. When shipping items I always pack them carefully, if you choose to not inusre your items, it your problem, not mine, if it is broken during shipping. I recommend priority mail as it gets a little bit better handling and much less of it. Less chances to get damage.
