SkyRidge Designs is specializes in custom made clothing for use by reenactors, merchants, brides, theatrical groups and others. We are one of the official costumers for Scarborough Renaissance Festival held each year in Texas.

Historically based clothing for men, women, and children (and sometimes horses). We will sew for any time period, but really specialize in medieval, renaissance, and Victorian (Civil War) items. We pride ourselves in well made clothing, designed for everyday use, not costumes intented for one or two events.

Renaissance Faires, Victorian Festivals

SkyRidge Designs has been in business since 1994 and has been selling on the internet for several years. In the past, SkyRidge has been a vendor at various renaissance faires and historical festivals. Most items are custom commissions. SkyRidge Designs will work with the individual to meet their specific needs for garments. Lately, SkyRidge Designs has been asked to branch out from their work in outfitting people and have begun designing outfits for horses...creating a living carousel. SkyRidge Designs is a husband/wife team. All sewing is done by either Bonnie or Wesley Joines. We insist on high quality items...seams will be finished so they don't ravel. Hems will be double turned or faced. Some garments are specifically sold unhemmed so they can be adjusted to the proper length over your petticoats/hoopskirts. Many garments are completely lined so that there are no visible inside seams.

PayPal, Money Order, Cashier's Check. Personal checks are given time to clear the bank prior to items shipping. Cash is only accepted if the item is being picked up in person or at an event.

We prefer to ship USPS flat rate priority mail (if the item will fit in the flat rate packaging). Otherwise, we generally use the least expensive US Post Office method which will get the item there in time to meet any deadlines the purchaser may have. However, we will ship by whichever method the customer is willing to pay for. There is not a UPS, FedEx, or DHL office in our town, so there will be an additional $5 handling fee for packaging and using these services. We WILL COMBINE items into one box when possible to save on shipping costs.

We believe in producing a high quality, well made item. As such we have NEVER been asked to return/exchange an item. We do not accept returns simply because the customer changes their mind, finds a less expensive item somewhere else, loses/gains weight, or no longer needs the item. However, we want our clients to be happy. Therefore, if you believe SkyRidge Designs has not fairly represented the item or if you find there is a flaw in the workmanship, please let us know. We will decide whether to offer an alteration, exchange, adjustment, or return. SPECIAL POLICY FOR CUSTOM COMMISSIONED ITEMS: We understand that sometimes your need for a commissioned piece changes. Please contact us ASAP to discuss options. You will still have to pay for any supplies that have been purchased or work that has been done (including design). But there may be options to cease work on the garment or to simplify the design to reduce cost.
