Was an upgrade for an Dell Precision M4800. It didn't work on the one with an i7-4700mq, but it did work when upgrading from an i7-4810mq, so it seems like there were minor differences between those platforms. BIOS was updated on both.
CPU is fast and runs very cool. Definitely a speed bump.
