My id is based on my mom's nickname.She passed away in late 2007. She loved glitzy, sparkly things. Her eyes would light up just like a child's at Christmas time. My own costume jewelry collection began with things that were hers. I spent about four years silversmithing years ago, but was not able to make a career of it. I got a real job that turned into a real career, and now finding costume jewelry again has reignited that jeweler's passion in me. I wonder who wore a particular piece, what love was declared with this or that set. My mom grew up literally dirt poor and always dreamed of prosperity and luxury. Costume jewelry from the early to mid twentieth century tells that same story. I collect and now sell to other collectors to honor the women (and men?) who owned and cherished these precious things. We honor their lives,struggles & victories by honoring the jewelry & collectibles they admired, enjoyed. The sparkly things let me feel close to my mom. That's a happy story,not sad.

I accept and PREFER PayPal. US Postal Money Orders will be considered if you do not have a PayPal account, but will delay shipping time. Payment is expected within five business days of item close.

I will ship within four business days of confirmed payment, usually sooner. US Priority Mail is most likely, but in some cases First Class makes more sense. I will ship only to verified addresses. If I sell books (old books are quite possible!), they will probably ship media mail due to weight, unless other arrangements are made. Please make any such requests prior to bidding.

The items I'm selling are used, vintage, old, etc. I cannot guarantee them except that I will describe them in great detail and be straight with you all about condition, provenance if known, etc. If something is significantly different than described, I must assume I made an error somewhere, so contact me immediately and we'll get it straightened out quickly. I want you to enjoy these things as much as I do, and be happy when you open your packages. Also I will be selling some mixed lots and probably a craft lot here or there. Obviously craft type lots are not returnable, but I will also describe them as best I can in the description. Also if I've replaced earring wires or done other simple repairs, it will be noted. Such repairs will NOT be done on rare or highly valuable pieces. I'll leave that to people who get paid to do it! If I am selling new items, which I just might, returns accepted, satisfaction guaranteed!
