History/background
American self taught artist born in Chicago, raised in Wisconsin currently residing in Texas. I come from a line of artists via my father’s side painters and sketchers in particular. My maiden name is Spurlock. As a young adult my father was a painter who completed signs, portraits and murals on Chicago’s downtown storefronts and buildings. My younger brother has been an sketch artist for many years completing sketches and drawings since age 4. He is currently attending college in Madison, WI. I have been painting actively since 2005 but would like to think I have been an artist all my life. The first paintings I completed were done on wood. I am a full time artist and part time mom and wife. I love painting and interior design. My art is often inspired by nature,interior design and life. Each painting has a special meaning and message.
