We opened our 1st comic shop in Jan 1986 in Blaine MN, Extra Innings was mostly a sports card shop and we had about 30 boxes of comic books in the back of the store. I hated the weather in the MLPS area (winters anyway) and moved to my home state in Nov. of 1986. this very short try at the world of retail started me down the path of collectable retail. After several years of flea markets and shows, we opened our retail store in York NE in 1991. We have outgrown many a store front in the last 16 years. recently, we decided to close our shop, comics now are $2.95 compared to 60 cents when we started, and bills keep getting higher, and profits have shrank. still, this has been the best ride I could have ever asked for. except for the 50,000 plus comic books in my basement, I have no complaints. as for what to do with those comics, it seems we have a never ending supply of books to list on ebay. check us out from time to time, as our inventory changes daily. I try to get to Post office twice per week min. I ship Mondays, and whenever I get 5 packages to ship or friday. so some weeks I ship every day.
