Located in Chicago, Illinois, Standard Magneto has been in business over 50 years. We manufacture Wico and Bosch magnetos and parts and are a distributor for Fairbanks Morse magnetos and parts.

We also manufacture Prestolite ignition components used on some Force/Chrysler outboards.

In the 1980's we purchased the Wico small engine ignition line from Prestolite. In the early 1990's we purchased the American Bosch magneto line from United Technology

All Payments in US funds. Visa, Master Card, personal checks (only from within the USA, held 10 days), money orders, paypal.

US shipments are by UPS only-We have a daily (Monday-Friday) UPS pickup, US shipments via UPS is actual UPS charge plus $.50. We can send via the Post Office, but we need to charge extra for sending someone to the post office and in most cases it isn't any cheaper than the UPS rate. Basic UPS rate includes insurance up to $100. We will ship outside the US to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom using the Postal Service (1st Class International (old Airmail Letter Post) for under 4 pounds or International Priority for over 4 pounds or International Priority Flat Box Rate if it's cheaper, for up to 15 pounds Canada $23 Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand $37. We charge actual postage (and insurance in most cases)plus $5.00 for customs paperwork and going to the Post Office. We might ship to other countries, but contact us first.

Most new items are tested before leaving our factory. Since we can't know if you are installing the parts correctly, we will only replace parts that are returned to us (at your cost)within 60 days so we can check them, if defective we will ship a new part at our cost. Used items are described as best as possible. If you don't feel the item was properly described, contact us and we'll discuss it.
