Sticks and Stones TN is a family-owned business specializing in the Lapidary Arts. In business since 1990, we've become well-known for high quality, moderate prices, and superb customer service. We offer collector's mineral specimens and fine handcrafted jewelry, as well as loose beads and gems for the jewelry designer and stone collector. We keep our mineral inventory fresh by making four to six wholesale buying trips each year to keep track of the newest finds in the mineral world. Also, we obtain 'old' stock from the inventory of retiring rockhounds and closing rock shops, so often can offer some excellent material from 'closed' sites and mines, such as the Elmwood mine in Tennessee. Most of our jewelry is handcrafted by Pat, and we also offer pieces by other artisans whose work we admire. When we find some special bargains, we even offer a few commercially produced pieces. And we'll add items from your wish list to our shopping list, with no obligation to buy!

We prefer payment by PAYPAL, for the convenience and security of both buyers and sellers. However, if you wish to discuss an alternate method of payment, please contact us to make arrangements for personal or business checks. On a shopping spree? No problem!! Just contact us by email to let us know. You may accumulate purchases for up to 7 days (or longer, by request), and make a single payment for all items. We automatically combine shipping, to the extent possible. If multiple packages are required for some reason, we'll contact you to discuss.

We take pride in careful packing and prompt shipping. When we are in town, most items are shipped within 12 to 48 hours of payment clearance, via United States Postal Service Priority Domestic or Priority International Mail. Alternate modes may be used for large or heavy items, or for international shipping. International buyers please provide telephone numbers when making payment. (When we are out of town, we usually leave our store open for your shopping convenience, with a message indicating the anticipated shipping date.)

If you're not happy, we're not happy. Please contact us immediately with any issue related to your purchase. We will do our best to handle any problem that is within our ability to resolve. If it is necessary to return an item, we will supply an approval code to display on the return shipping label. Returned items must be fully insured. When the item is received in good condition, we will issue a refund of your purchase price. Shipping and insurance costs are not refundable, and we do reserve the right to charge a restocking fee in some cases.

We have a simple approach to doing business: we don't offer anything for sale that we wouldn't be happy to keep for ourselves. We do our own shopping, in person. We prefer to select each item individually, and never buy minerals, stones or beads 'by the barrel' or in any form of bulk storage. This means, of course, that we may not always have the lowest prices, but you can be assured that what we do have is excellent quality for the price you pay. We prepare detailed and accurate item descriptions, and make every effort to portray size, color and characteristics, including any damage, as honestly as possible. Most of our items are offered at 'Fixed Price', often with the 'Best Offer' option. We rarely have auctions; we can't afford to sell items for less than their actual worth, and we certainly don't want you to have to pay more than that just because the item is popular! (In other words, we won't have $.99 minimum bids, because we don't have anything worth only $.99!!)
