Stovepipe Antiques is a quality antique store located in Grants Pass, Oregon. I am the sole proprietor of the business and have old school values. I believe that a deal can be sealed with a hand shake and that your word is your bond.

I specialize in media. Nothing in the store past 1970. Coin-op, posters/paper, records, books, art, toys, clocks, militaria, glass/pottery, radios, signs, cameras, tools, bottles, railroad, phonographs, fishing gear, tins, ephemera, coca-cola, stoves, figurines, wagons, peddle cars, furniture, puppets, lamps, trains, medical, etc., etc., etc.

I buy most anything that is Cool, Old, and Working (COW). When people sell me items I tell them that I don't have a problem with them making money, but if I'm reselling, I need to make money, too (I just happened to be awake during my Economics 101 class).

I am not a collector, per se, but I like to decorate our c.1891 3-story Victorian home with antiques.

Photography, motorcycle riding, tooling around in the '50 Chev., always on the prowl for cool, old, working things.

Schindler's List, Gladiator, Braveheart

Beatles (of course), new bands Coldplay, Nickleback, Rusted Root, Snow Patrol. Staight-up bebop jazz or Westcoast cool, some classical.

TCM is my favorite channel, I'll gladly watch almost anything from the 1930s and some silents (1920s).

Stovepipe Antiques has been in the antique business for over 8-1/2 years and has a very good reputation. The town of Grants Pass has 12 antique stores and I have been told hundreds of times that Stovepipe Antiques is the best store in the area and even southern Oregon. I may not agree with their opinion, but I work hard to ensure that everything in the store is old, clean, and working. I was a semiconductor engineer for 20 years and have been retired for 10 years. I repaired the systems that made the computer chips. I use my technical background to repair the items that I acquire. I do not restore items, but clean and/or repair them. People have said that it is the nicest antique store that they have ever been in. I graciously accept the complement. I am envolved in the antiques business for the love of it, and not as a required income. The store is not a collective, I do not sell reproductions, or new items. There is virtually nothing in the store for sale beyond the year 1970.

Shipping will normally be USPS Parcel Post, but I will ship UPS or Fedex. when the occassion calls for it or at your specific request. Insurance with these last 2 companies is automatically insured to $100. I will always pay for the delivery confirmation. I try to ship at the least expense to the buyer, however, final shipping costs will be calculated once the item has been purchased and the buyer's zip code is known.
